Project title

Power BI Project

Step 1: Load the Data into Power BI

  1. Open Power BI Desktop.

  2. Click on "Home" > "Get Data" > "Excel".

  3. Browse and select the uploaded file "01 Call-Center-Dataset.xlsx".

  4. Click "Load" after selecting the relevant worksheet (preview the data before loading).

Click on Excel workbook > Select the source file as shown.

Data will populate from the file > Put a check mark next to file > Click Load


Below shown page will open.


Step 2: Data Cleaning & Transformation (Power Query)

  1. Click on "Transform Data" to open Power Query Editor.

  2. Review the dataset:

    • Remove unnecessary columns.

    • Rename column headers if needed.

    • Check for null values and replace them if required.

    • Convert date/time columns to proper formats.

  3. Click "Close & Apply" to load cleaned data into Power BI.



Data will load to transform and clean the data.

After cleaning data click on Close & Apply


Step 3: Create Measures & Calculated Columns
To calculate KPIs, create DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) measures.

1. Overall Customer Satisfaction (%)

To create DAX, we have to click on “Modelling” menu and click on “New Measure”.

Measure Window will open.

NOTE: Add the measures separately like shown below.






Write some DAX measures
Overall Customer Satisfaction Score (Average)

This measure calculates the average satisfaction score.
Customer Satisfaction = AVERAGE(CallData[Customer Satisfaction Score])

Now the dashboard has to be published.
